2 Corinthians 2:12-3:18

2 Corinthians 2:12-16

  • to serve God is not the same as God’s will for your serving.

(2 Corinthians 2:16-3:6)

  • Jesus is our life to tell His to our neighbors.

(2 Corinthians 3:6-18)

  • The first edition of the 10 commandments God carved Himself. Moses broke them almost immediately and had to make his own copy. (Exodus 24:12-18, Exodus 31:18, Exodus 35:15-20)
  • Moses was also insufficient for his calling (Exodus 4:11-12)
  • When Moses came down from speaking with God he glowed in the dark so he had to keep his face covered unless he was talking to God (Exodus 34:28-35)

When we know Jesus deeply He shows clearly that our life is His.

  • How does a life of captivity to Jesus smell to you?
  • How are our lives telling Jesus’ story this week?
  • What work of Jesus are we tempted to minimize?
  • What work of Jesus are we tempted to take credit for?
